Young orchids need high level of care as they are more fragile than their adults.
Light: Young plants require less light as they are not in the flowering stage. Light green leaves indicate good sunlight exposure. If your orchid has dark green leaves it will need more sunlight.
Scorching: If there are standing drops of water on the leaves they can serve to concentrate sunlight onto the leaf and cause scorching. Younger orchids are more vulnerable for the same.
Watering: Excessive watering can cause root rot and fungal growth which could destroy the plant.
Fungus: Baby plants are less tolerant to fungus. Look out for black or grey or white spider-web like structures. Fungicides will have to be used.

Repotting: Repotting has to be considered when the plant grows out of the pot. However do not use large pots as it will not help growth. Give enough time for the plants to form roots before repotting.
